About The Position

BayCare Medical Group, the leading medical group in the Tampa Bay area, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Non-Invasive Pediatric Cardiologist to join a well-established, multi-subspecialty group serving the Tampa Bay area for over 50 years- the very first pediatric cardiology program on the west coast of Florida. This position is primarily based at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital and includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be board-certified/board-eligible in pediatric cardiology and possess excellent clinical skills, a commitment to patient-centered care, and a passion for advancing the field of cardiology. About the BMG Pediatric Cardiology and Adult Congenital Heart Program:
First opened its doors in 1977 as the first pediatric cardiology program on the west coast of Florida.
Nationally and internationally respected with specialists in all areas of pediatric cardiology- including fetal, arrhythmia, catheterization,cardiomyopathy, transplant, pulmonary hypertension, cardiac imaging, preventative and weight management cardiology and adult congenitalcardiology.
One of the largest comprehensive programs in the state of Florida, serving over 25,000 patients per year.
State-of-the-art cardiac care fully supported by other pediatric subspecialty services.
One of only two programs in the state of Florida to be accredited as an ACHD Comprehensive Care Center by the Adult Congenital Heart Association.
Passionate, supportive and extensively experienced team of multi-specialty cardiologists, surgeons and supported by a team of nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

Requirements

• Board certification/board eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology.
• State medical licensure or eligibility for licensure in Florida.

Nice To Haves

• TEE experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care through the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with cardiovascular diseases using noninvasive techniques.
• Participate in inpatient coverage, with the opportunity to perform Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) if desired.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with referring providers in the region to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
• Share general pediatric cardiology call coverage equally with 12+ full-time physicians in the group.
• Collaborate with a team of highly respected specialists in fetal cardiology, electrophysiology, catheterization, cardiomyopathy, pulmonary hypertension, cardiac imaging, preventive cardiology, and adult congenital heart disease.
• Work in conjunction with the Tampa Bay Adult Congenital Heart Center, which provides lifelong care for adult patients with congenital heart conditions.
