About The Position

The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Non Invasive Cardiology, Assistant/Associate/Professor, Department of Internal Medicine. The Department of Internal Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position in noninvasive Cardiology at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. Responsibilities will include patient care in the outpatient setting, supervision and interpretation of diagnostic studies, as well as supervision and teaching of Cardiology Fellows, Internal Medicine Residents and Medical Students. The training programs are affiliated with the University Medical Center (UMC) of Southern Nevada, and offer a comprehensive mix of inpatient and ambulatory teaching experiences. UNLV physicians are academic faculty who provide excellent compassionate care to a large and diverse community in the Las Vegas valley. As an employee of UNLV, you will be part of the most diverse university in the USA and a member of the Rebel Family, which includes the faculty, students and staff of the School of Medicine as well as several allied health professional schools. This is a non-tenure-track position.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Successfully completed an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency training.
  • Successfully completed an ACGME accredited Cardiology Fellowship training.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Cardiology prior to the start date.
  • Possess and maintain a Nevada State Board of Pharmacy license and DEA License.
  • Obtain Nevada medical license prior to the start date.
  • Meet malpractice coverage credentialing requirements.
  • Obtain privileges at the University Medical Center (UMC) and other site locations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care in the outpatient setting.

  • Supervise and teach Cardiology Fellows, Internal Medicine Residents, and Medical Students.
