FTE: 100% WORK SHIFT Days JOB DESCRIPTION: Olympic Medical Physicians’ Cardiology clinics are located in Port Angeles and Sequim, on Washington State’s beautiful North Olympic Peninsula. We have an immediate opening for a board-certified or board eligible Cardiologist skilled in Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology to join our busy practice. Join our collegial team! Our Cardiologists provide specialty outpatient acute and chronic cardiac consultation and care in the clinic and Heart Center setting. Consultation to hospitalists on inpatients is also provided, as well as the interpretation of studies including echocardiograms, nuclear studies, and EKGs. OMP Cardiologists work collaboratively with referring providers, Heart Center personnel, and OMP Cardiology Advanced Practice Clinicians (Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants). EDUCATION Medical degree from an accredited school. Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA approved postgraduate training program in Internal Medicine of at least three years duration. Successful completion of requirements of the American Board of Internal Medicine for subspecialty certification in Cardiovascular Disease. Maintains appropriate Continuing Medical Education credits per Washington State and OMC Medical Staff requirements. EXPERIENCE Completion of cardiology fellowship. LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS Board certified or active participant in in the examination process leading to certification in Internal Medicine and subspecialty certification in Cardiovascular Disease. Recertifies at appropriate intervals per specialty board requirements. Maintains an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Washington. Maintains current DEA registration. Maintains current ACLS certification. Maintains appropriate privileges and membership on the OMC Medical Staff. Maintains appropriate privileges and membership on the OMC Medical Staff.
