About The Position

AmeriPro EMS is seeking a reliable and safety-focused EMS Driver to support ambulance operations and patient care activities. This role is responsible for the safe operation of emergency vehicles, assisting with patient movement, maintaining ambulance readiness, and ensuring compliance with all state EMS regulations and company policies. The EMS Driver plays a critical role in supporting field crews and ensuring high standards of professionalism, readiness, and service delivery. Key Responsibilities Safely operate ambulance vehicles while responding to dispatched emergency and non-emergency calls in accordance with state laws, regulations, and company policies. Assist clinical staff with patient movement, lifting, and positioning to support safe and effective patient care. Perform daily inspections, cleaning, and equipment checks of the ambulance to ensure operational readiness and report deficiencies promptly. Maintain compliance with all required EMS Driver and EMR licenses, certifications, and mandatory training requirements. Complete accurate and timely documentation, including Patient Care Reports (PCRs), billing forms, exposure reports, incident reports, and unit check-offs. Ensure vehicles and equipment placed in service meet all applicable state EMS rules, licensing standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain a professional appearance, conduct, and state of readiness while on duty and when representing AmeriPro EMS. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • EVOC or equivalent emergency vehicle operations certification May be obtained through AmeriPro EMS
  • Working knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used in providing emergency medical care
  • Ability to read, interpret, and navigate using local maps
  • Proven ability to manage multiple urgent tasks in fast-paced, emergent situations
  • Competence in using computer systems and EMS technology, including: PCR/ePCR reporting software Email platforms Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs)
  • Professional communication skills with the ability to represent AmeriPro EMS effectively in all interactions
  • Regular use of hands and arms; frequent standing and walking
  • Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, or prolonged positioning
  • Ability to frequently lift and move up to 180 lbs and occasionally up to 300 lbs with team assistance
  • Vision requirements include: Close and color vision Peripheral vision Depth perception Ability to adjust focus
  • Exposure to: Inclement weather Potentially hazardous conditions Illnesses, diseases, and biohazards High-pressure and rapidly changing situations
  • Work involves: Frequent interruptions and fluctuating workload Irregular schedules, including overtime or extended shifts Occasional meetings outside standard working hours May experience periods without regular sleep, meals, or breaks depending on call volume
