About The Position

Requirements

• Possession of patience and care with clients and their caregivers.
• Must be reliable and capable of working independently and remaining calm in case of emergency.
• Must be flexible.
• Must hold a currently valid driver's license and have an excellent driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent and fluency in English required.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and position clients frequently.
• Ability to perform considerable reaching, stooping, and bending.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check, MVR screening, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Pick up clients from home or other living facilities using company provided wheelchair accessible minivan.
• Provide the assistance required to safely board clients and caregivers.
• Transport clients to and from approved pick-up locations and destinations within the Metropolitan area.
• Check the van to ensure that no personal items are left behind.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations regarding non-emergency transportation.
• Operate mobile devices, mobile software system, and GPS unit.
• Immediately report traffic accidents to dispatcher, requesting police or ambulance service as needed.
• Communicate transport details with Dispatch.
• Perform pre- and post-vehicle safety and maintenance checks.
• Other functions may be assigned.
