About The Position

Apollo Medical Transport is seeking dedicated and compassionate Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Drivers to provide safe and reliable transportation for patients using wheelchairs and stretchers to and from various medical facilities. This full-time role involves assisting patients with mobility challenges and ensuring their safe transport to appointments, contributing positively to the community.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License is required.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Ability to assist a 250-pound person with mobility issues into wheelchairs.
• Physical capability to assist patients with mobility challenges.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with stretcher transport.
• Ability to start before 9:30 AM and handle 5:00 AM pickups when needed.
• Availability to work at least one weekend day.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients into their wheelchairs and safely transport them to the van.
• Secure wheelchairs in the van and drive to the destination.
• Assist patients out of their wheelchairs at the destination and ensure they are safely checked in or settled.
• Transport stretchers into facilities or homes and assist with patient transfers using sheets.
• Secure stretchers in the van and perform similar assistance upon arrival at the destination.
• Manage stretcher transport independently, with team assistance available when needed.
