Sarah P. Duke Gardens is looking for enthusiastic students to join our 2026 Summer Internship Program, a 10‑week immersive experience designed for those who want hands-on exposure to horticulture and public garden operations. You’ll work across all areas of our 55‑acre public botanic garden—one that welcomes over 600,000 visitors each year—and learn directly from skilled horticulture staff. This internship is designed to help you explore the diverse world of public gardening through hands‑on learning, weekly plant ID classes, field trips to botanic gardens and nurseries, and opportunities to gain real experience in garden maintenance and design.
