Inspects metallic and nonmetallic materials, parts and assemblies for defects using automated and manual methods and techniques including radiography, ultrasound, penetrant, eddy current, laser shearography, and magnetic particle. Requires certifications in non-destructive testing in accordance with regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related non-destructive testing experience.
  • Candidate must meet and be able to prove OJT hours necessary for certification to NAS-410 in the following methods.
  • Current NDI Level II Certification in PT (Penetrant) in accordance to NAS-410.
  • Current NDI Level II Certification MT (Magnetic Particle) in accordance to NAS-410.
  • Current NDI Level II Certification ET (Eddy Current) in accordance to NAS-410.
  • Current NDI Level II Certification UT (Ultrasonic) in accordance to NAS-410.
  • Current NDI Level II Certification RT (Radiographic) in accordance to NAS-410.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access.

Nice To Haves

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • CR – Computed Radiography IRRSP card (Industrial Radiographer Radiation Safety Program).
  • BT – Bond Testing Phased Array UT and ET Low Frequency ET Primary Level.
