About The Position

The Non-Destructive Test Quality Specialist at Boeing is responsible for performing and overseeing non-destructive testing (NDT) operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company procedures. This role involves developing testing procedures, conducting inspections, and analyzing results to support the quality assurance of products. The position requires a strong background in NDI/NDT, with opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test).
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • NAS 410 NDT Level 2 with ASNT Qualifications in a minimum of two NDE disciplines: Magnetic Particle (MT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), Ultrasonic (UT), Radiography (RT), Eddy Current (ET), Infrared Thermography (IRT).
  • Ability to work any shift if required dependent on business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current or previous PAUT and/or Radiography NDT Certification (Level 2 or Level 3).
  • A degree in a related discipline and 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean, and Employee Involvement.
  • Current Radiation Safety State Card or ASNT IRRSP.
  • Current or previous Eddy Current Level 2 certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment.
  • Develop procedures and processes for non-destructive testing.
  • Conduct tests or inspections and collect data.
  • Document, analyze, and communicate results, assisting with corrective action recommendations.
  • Provide feedback on adverse trends in testing results.
  • Responsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products.
  • Conduct certification preparation training for NDT personnel.
  • Guide the development or improvement of non-destructive inspection or test techniques.
  • Develop and implement tests or inspections and data collection techniques utilizing evolving technology.
  • Audit, validate, and approve systems and techniques of suppliers and processors.
