Working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, this entry-level role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant pharmacy service delivery.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of pharmacy operations and medications
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to use inventory management and pharmacy software systems
  • Able to follow instructions and work under pharmacist supervision
  • Demonstrates integrity, attention to detail, and customer service orientation
  • Able to stand, move, lift, and bend for extended periods
  • Must be able to handle physical and biological exposure typical in a hospital pharmacy environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent or At least 16 yrs of age and actively working toward high school diploma (which includes dual-enrollment programs)
  • Current Pharmacy Technician registration required, per state regulations or Pharmacy Technician-in-Training, where applicable
  • Entry-level

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare or pharmacy setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems
  • Fills medication carts on a daily basis
  • Prepares and restocks prepackaged medications and bulk inventory
  • Verifies inventory, receives/stores supplies, and updates inventory records
  • Assists in maintaining compliance with pharmacy storage and handling procedures
  • Follows procedures for labeling and packaging to ensure accuracy
  • Performs clerical duties to support pharmacy operations
