Replacement for Certified MA. Looking for a certified on non-certified. Posting both however, will only hire 1. Job Summary Summary The primary purpose of your job is to assist with the delivery of patient care in accordance with current applicable Federal, State and Local standards, guidelines, regulations and established procedures as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure the highest degree of quality care and safety be maintained.

Requirements

  • Other Certificate/Diploma Related Field of Study required
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Basic Life Support [BLS] - Generic - HR Only required
  • Medical Assistant experience in an ambulatory setting 0-1 year preferred
  • A minimum of 6 months employment in an ambulatory physician practice setting in the last 3 years 0-1 year preferred
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action in a timely fashion.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with staff, patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
  • Must possess the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel and the general public.
  • Must be able to read, write legibly, speak clearly and understand the English language.
  • Must meet 1 of the following within 1 year of employment if not completed prior to hire date: • Preferred successful completion of Medical Assistant School/Program or comparable training within related discipline. • Enrollment in program to enhance MA skills: Registered (RMA), Certified (CMA), Certified Clinical MA (CCMA). • Enrollment in program leading to further skill development with medical field (including but not limited to CNA, EMT, LPN, RN, CNM, NP, PA, MD, DO).

Responsibilities

  • Plans appropriately for patient care
  • Performs patient intake functions
  • Effectively communicate with patients/family members
  • Prepare and assist with office procedures
  • Provide individualized, age-specific care to patients under the specific orders of physician or provider
  • Supports the general overall functioning of the office
