Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• A friendly, patient and professional attitude
• Strong people skills and empathy
• Commitment to helping residents feel safe and supported
• Ability to remain observant and detail-oriented
• Successful completion of prescreening hiring requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming and mobility needs
• Provide encouragement and emotional support
• Help residents move safely in and out of bed, chairs or wheelchairs
• Escort or transport residents to appointments and activities
• Observe, monitor and report changes in health, behavior or needs
• Document care provided and follow established protocols
• Attend ongoing educational in-services
