About The Position

The non-CDL dump Truck Driver operates non-CDL-required vehicles, primarily dump trucks, to transport equipment and materials. They are responsible for conducting vehicle inspections, adhering to safety regulations, and assisting with material management and site logistics.

Requirements

  • Skilled in operating large trucks, and small/large construction equipment safely.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.
  • A valid driver’s license, DOT Medical Certification, and CDL-A License.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize the bulk materials yard.
  • Ensure timely loading and replenishment of materials for field crews throughout the day.
  • Allocate materials to the applicable jobs in the Aspire system.
  • Maintain inventory and restock materials/products as needed or assigned.
  • Safely operate appropriate trucks, machinery, and equipment to pick up, haul, and deliver materials to the bulk storage area, storage facility, and client job sites.
  • Mobilize heavy equipment to and from job sites as required.
  • Perform daily safety checks and required inspections on vehicles and equipment.
  • Report any issues or concerns to fleet mechanics for maintenance or repair.
  • Meet and communicate with the Project Managers and Sitework teams to develop daily/weekly plans for material and equipment mobilization needs. This includes daily messages in the SLP Trucking group for communication two days prior.
  • Interact professionally with materials vendors and contractors as needed.
  • Assist with snow removal duties (shoveling, plowing, salt/sand application) during the winter months as necessary.
