About The Position

SUMMARY:  The Shag Driver will drive shag truck; pull and back 48 and 53-foot trailers.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  This list is not intended to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.      Comply with Federal, State, County, City, OSHA and Company rules and regulations. Safely operate shag truck on the company property. Maintain required safety and ergonomic processes to insure a safe working environment and meet company goal of an injury free workplace. Drive shag truck; pull and back trailers.  Must be able to spot the correct trailers in the correct docks. Use of electronic equipment to perform tasks and communicate with Logistics Manager. Physically wash out trailers as needed Maintain a wash and shag report. Set reefer units at proper temperatures. Must be able to follow directions Maintain truck cleanliness and track truck maintenance as needed. Understand and perform inspections of equipment as required by USDOT rules and regulations. Requirements

  • High School Diploma preferred but not required.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in a diverse workforce, maintain effective working relationships with peers and management and follow work instruction.
