About the position

SCA is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Non-CDL Driver to operate a Parking Lot Sweeper Truck servicing commercial shopping centers and retail properties. In this role, you'll be responsible for completing nightly routes, which include sweeping parking areas, blowing off walkways, emptying trash cans, and picking up litter. This active position requires consistent in-and-out truck movement, strong awareness in navigating traffic, and the ability to maintain accurate route logs and high cleaning standards. Responsibilities

  • Conduct required pre-trip inspection of sweeper truck to ensure safe operation
  • Review and understand assigned routes, including shopping centers and parking garages
  • Ask questions or seek clarification if route details are unclear
  • Operate Air Sweeper Truck to clean parking areas, remove debris, and service trash receptacles
  • Safely navigate between 10-13 stops per night while adhering to scheduled timeframes
  • Use leaf blower and manual tools to clean walkways, corners, and hard-to-reach areas
  • Track and document completed routes using sweep validation procedures
  • Maintain SCA's Standard of Quality for all tasks performed
  • Report equipment malfunctions, near misses, or incidents immediately to a Lead or Supervisor
  • Refuel truck at the end of the shift
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Valid Chauffeur's License
  • DOT Physical and Medical Card (company-paid)
  • Must pass pre-employment screening and remain compliant with safety standards
  • Comfortable working in outdoor environments and all weather conditions
  • Exposure to noise, vibrations, grease, oil, fumes, and chemicals
  • Physically demanding work: Occasional lifting (50+ lbs.), carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, stooping
  • Frequent walking, standing, climbing, and repetitive in/out truck movement
  • Strong visual acuity including depth perception, close/distance vision, and focus adjustment
  • Regular use of hands, arms, eyes, and ears to operate equipment and monitor surroundings
