About The Position

Per diem paid weekly for layovers ($35 first night, $50 each additional night) Fuel card and CLC (hotel) cards provided Reimbursements for out-of-pocket expense work related Our leadership team is a group of former drivers and previous NDCP drivers. Our Brand Ambassadors (drivers) work a 5-day work week – starting time between 12:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m using a lift-gate. Our routes cover a large footprint! We have Regional routes with 3 day layovers to states such as: Iowa, Nebraska, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Missouri, Minnesota. Our Brand Ambassadors utilize a handheld (POD), lift gate trailers, automatic tractors, dollies, and hand jacks. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
Valid Class C license with clean driving record
6 months minimum driving experience, 1 year desired
Ability to lift 55 lbs.
Ability to read a map and/or follow written directions to navigate assigned routes efficiently and safely
Excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional customer service mentality
Ability to work effectively in an individual and team environment
Effective decision-making skills and sound judgement
Ability and willingness to work varying work schedules, as needed, to support NDCP’s operations

Responsibilities

Operate a reefer van truck or non CDL box truck that transports cargo to and from specified destinations.
Conduct a proper pre-trip inspection to ensure the vehicle is safe to operate.
Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery of products.
Unload cargo and delivers via a two-wheeler and/or hand pallet jack in a safe manner into store locations.
Scans all product labels during store deliveries and reports all orders with shorts or damages.
Report any vehicle maintenance or malfunction issues to Fleet Operations Supervisor.
Conduct a proper post-trip to ensure equipment is in good working order to minimize delays the following day.
Responsible for the cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle. Also responsible for the removal of trash at the store caused by the delivery (shrink wrap, cardboard and pallets).
Act as the main point of contact between the Distribution Center and the customer.
