About The Position

HOME EVERY NIGHT! Driver's day usually begins around 7:30 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location) This position will primarily drive a non-CDL box truck, but a CDL B (or A) is required in order to drive the Class B Flatbed as needed. Driver Responsibilities: Lives the mission statement Acts as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse Delivers building materials to jobsites with box truck and fills in as CDL driver when needed Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites Provides exceptional service to every Lansing customer…and constantly strive to improve that level of service Keeps warehouse clean and orderly This is a "get-the-job-done" kind of position...you may be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

Requirements

• CDL B (or A) license is required for this position
• Driver must have a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus -- and to work as a contributing member of a larger team
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds
• Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
• At least one year of driving experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience with building products is very helpful
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck is preferred
