About The Position

The Non CDL Driver is a delivery position responsible for driving a company vehicle limited to a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 25900. The position will be assigned stops to deliver foodservice products with a high level of service to customers. Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required
  • DOT medical card/certification required
  • Must be able to pass DOT physical and pass pre-employment testing (including items such as Drug Screen & Background Check)
  • No more than two convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations, no DUI convictions in the past three years, no driver’s license suspensions in the past three years
  • One year multi-stop delivery experience required or six month local delivery experience and/or foodservice industry experience
  • Availability to work on weekends, Holidays and overtime in order to service customers
  • Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

Nice To Haves

  • Hand cart delivery experience preferred
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
