About The Position

The Non-CDL Delivery Driver is responsible for safely transporting clean and soiled linen between our commercial laundry facility and designated customer locations. This includes loading and unloading carts, maintaining delivery documentation, and ensuring customer service standards are met. This role requires strict adherence to all company safety policies and federal, state, and local driving regulations.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and meet delivery schedules.
  • Strong communication skills and customer service mindset.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read and interpret delivery documentation and route instructions.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Completion of company Safe Driver Orientation required.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of delivery driving or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate company delivery vehicles of various models and gross vehicle weights (no CDL required).
  • Load and unload linen carts while verifying load accuracy against delivery tickets.
  • Deliver clean linen to customer locations and retrieve soiled linen, ensuring proper cart tagging and segregation to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, reporting any concerns or feedback to the Transportation or Production Manager.
  • Complete and maintain daily delivery trip sheets, documenting stops, number of carts delivered/picked up, and breaks.
  • Conduct pre-trip vehicle safety inspections prior to each shift.
  • Maintain cleanliness of delivery vehicle, including routine cab and exterior cleaning, and sanitizing interior areas as needed.
  • Safely operate truck lift gates and back into loading/unloading areas with precision.
  • Assist linen distribution teams by staging carts and applying plastic liners as needed.
  • Comply with all safety protocols and company policies at all times.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively in all customer interactions.
  • Participate in all company health and safety programs.
  • Follow OSHA guidelines and company safety policies.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Promptly report any hazardous conditions, injuries, or illnesses to management.
