Become a part of the “strength within.” Hexcel is currently seeking a Non CDL Driver/Material Packaging for our Amesbury, MA location. Pay Range: $21.50 - $26.50 per hour The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent, required.
  • Previous experience in driving a box truck preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to manage time effectively and adhere to delivery schedules
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry heavy items as needed.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods of time.
  • Must have good attention to detail.
  • Fork Lift experience preferred
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical
  • This position is restricted to U.S. citizens due to U.S. federal government contracts that require the employment of only persons who are U.S. citizens.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in driving a box truck preferred.
  • Fork Lift experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver items to and from various locations.
  • Safely load and unload goods from the delivery vehicle, ensuring items are secure during transport.
  • Verify recipient details upon delivery and obtain signatures for proof of delivery as well as maintain delivery logs and records.
  • Inspect the delivery vehicle for mechanical issues and ensure it is clean and safe for operation.
  • Address any issues or complaints that arise during the delivery process, such as damaged goods or delays
  • Responsible for storing incoming goods, releasing goods from storage, and loading goods for transport.
  • Performs common Warehouse tasks, cleaning, safety checks on equipment, etc.
  • Stage material appropriately in preparation of loading and shipping for final delivery and maintain the stock levels of packaging materials.
  • Active participation in cycle counting and physical inventory processes.
  • Conduct duties in a manner that promotes safety and complies with all OSHA standards.
  • Final packaging and labeling of finished products ready to ship.
