About The Position

H-E-B's Transportation Division supports distribution by transporting products from the warehouse to our retail stores. Our Transportation Partners ship an average 12,000 deliveries per week and travel over 73 million miles each year. As a Non-CDL Delivery Trainer, you'll facilitate classroom training, conduct hands-on training, and provide on the job coaching and performance feedback for Non-CDL Delivery Drivers. You'll help ensure Partners successfully complete curriculum and are ready to begin driving / delivering. Requirements

• Minimum age 21 (mandatory)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Experience driving a company vehicle (preferred)
• Experience leading / coaching / teaching others (preferred)
• Valid Class C Texas driver's license (CDL not required)
• Excellent driving record
• No moving violations or preventable accidents in the past 3 (three) years
• No DWI, DUI, or related convictions
• No felony convictions

Responsibilities

• Participates in training orientations; reviews existing training programs; facilitates training curriculum
• Documents Driver Trainee performance: review results with leadership; communicates need for corrective action
• Works with various leadership teams across the network to evaluate training effectiveness and implement required adjustments
• Coordinates / administers classroom and on-the-job training sessions
• Reliably trains on different types of vehicles (e.g., minivans, box trucks, 26- straight trucks)
• Conducts training in new and current locations state-wide
• Consistently provides training results and feedback to various leadership teams across the network
• Uses new and existing training materials (e.g., workbooks, manuals, visual aids, practical exercises, examinations, hands-on skills presentations) as prescribed by Safety department
• Works with Transportation Safety leadership to identify new training locations, facilities, routes and related potential call outs, hazards, and best practices
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge; attends educational and refresher training sessions (e.g., Safety meetings, BPM meetings, and professional and industry publications)
• Oversees Driver Trainee training; releases Driver Trainee only after successful completion of all required levels of certification and training in compliance with H-E-B Transportation Safety Training curriculum
• Conducts recertification or retraining with Drivers in compliance with Transportation Safety
