About The Position

UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado is seeking an exceptionally skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join its high-acuity Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team as a full-time Nocturnist, delivering advanced overnight surgical care in one of the Rocky Mountain region’s most respected Level II trauma centers. Job Description: The Nurse Practitioner will: Deliver comprehensive Trauma and Acute Care Surgery services for overnight coverage (7P–7A). Perform assessments, order/interprete diagnostics, and develop treatment plans. Manage trauma and emergency general surgery patients across inpatient settings. Support trauma surgeons with procedures and ongoing patient management. Work autonomously while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. Document all care using Epic EMR. Ensure compliance with medical staff bylaws and privileging processes. Maintain high-quality patient safety and performance standards. Participate in UCHealth OAP mentorship, leadership development, and ongoing education. Not doing any locums or locum to perm UCHealth clears names system-wide. Visa sponsorship not available (No J-1 or H-1B visas accepted) Not accepting fresh graduates (must have two (2) years of trauma surgery experience or the completion of a surgical fellowship is highly preferred.

Requirements

  • ANCC
  • BLS
  • Board Certified
  • DEA
  • Colorado State License
  • Nurse Practitioner Certification by ANCC or AANPCB
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA or American Red Cross
  • Unrestricted Physician Assistant license – State of Colorado
  • must have two (2) years of trauma surgery experience or the completion of a surgical fellowship is highly preferred.
