About The Position

HCA FL Aventura Hospital is looking for a FT Nocturnist- Emergency Medicine Physician to join this premier practice in South Florida including its New Free-Standing Emergency Department that opened within the past year. To complement this excellent clinical opportunity the Department of Emergency Medicine offers the opportunity for a faculty appointment at the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine in the Department of Emergency Medicine and Critical Care at the rank/title of assistant professor or higher, depending on qualifications. Aventura is only 15 miles to Miami!

Requirements

• MD or DO.
• Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited or acceptable equivalent post graduate training program in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM).

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly Meditech Pdoc.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care to patients in a Level II Trauma Center.
• Participate in the training and education of residents in Emergency Medicine.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals including Trauma, Intensivist, Anesthesia, and Hospitalist.
• Utilize EMR system Meditech Pdoc with M-Modal for patient documentation.
