About The Position

As a NOC Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Network Operations Center, ensuring optimal network performance and service reliability for a telecommunications service provider. This role includes managing a team of NOC Technicians, coordinating incident response, and driving continuous improvement in monitoring and support processes.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a NOC or network operations environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications networks, including IP, transport, and wireless technologies.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Unified Assurance, Splunk, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with rotating shifts
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor NOC Technicians to ensure 24/7 network surveillance and rapid incident resolution.
  • Monitor network infrastructure including routers, switches, transport systems, and wireless platforms to ensure uptime and performance.
  • Coordinate with engineering, field operations, and customer support teams to escalate and resolve service-impacting issues.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for incident management, escalation, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with SLAs and KPIs through proactive monitoring and performance analysis.
  • Provide regular reports on network health, incident trends, and team performance to senior leadership.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and post-incident reviews to improve operational resilience.
  • Schedule and manage shift coverage to maintain 24/7 operational readiness.
  • Support onboarding and training of new NOC staff.
  • Monitor IT applications and services to ensure availability, performance, and timely alerting of anomalies or failures
  • Other job-related duties as requested
  • Set and communicate departmental goals that advance overall Company objectives.
  • Manage department resources and projects effectively.
  • Work with Associate Resources to hire and train qualified productive employees.
  • Lead, motivate, and coach employees to ensure satisfactory performance.
  • Provide feedback and appraise employee performance using Company performance appraisal tools and programs
  • Conduct disciplinary actions as necessary according to Company guidelines
  • Work with Associate Resources to prevent discriminatory and illegal employment practices in the workplace
  • Perform On-Call duties as necessary.
