We are seeking a Nobu Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of the Eau Resort & Spa team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five-Star resort. The Nobu Supervisor will be responsible for working the dining area in a supervisory capacity, as well as be cross-utilized in other food and beverage outlets as necessary. This role includes training and motivating staff to ensure the highest standard of service and presentation, filling in for management when needed. The ideal candidate will exemplify the values and beliefs of Eau Resort & Spa. We have a full-time position available. This role is a P.M. position, and all candidates must be able to work weekends, holidays, and nights.  This role is designated for our dining outlet, Nobu Manalapan.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Minimum 2-year(s) experience as a Restaurant Supervisor or Manager.
  • Food handling certificate.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
  • Ability to provide legible communication.
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
  • Must possess strong leadership qualities.
  • Calm under pressure: must have the ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, effectively prioritize work and assignments, and accurately meet deadlines.
  • Work closely with staff to ensure guests have extraordinary experiences. Assist in the training, mentoring, supervision and motivation of team.
  • Assist in hiring, coaching, disciplining, counseling, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Adhere to, and enforce, that cash management systems set up properly. Manage cost controls and understand P&L compliance.
  • Ability to understand guests' service needs.
  • Ability to thrive during very high levels of business.
  • Ability to be well organized, maintain concentration and think clearly when providing service to guests within any given period of time.
  • Ability to focus attention on details.
  • Ability to suggestively sell restaurant menu items, beverages and wines.
  • Ability to access and input information into Micros system.
  • Ability to maintain good coordination while serving orders quickly.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time in extreme temperatures.
  • Ability to endure abundant physical movements throughout the work areas.
  • Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.

Nice To Haves
