The pre-season Host assists with overall Park clean-up and preparation for the summer season. We are currently looking for a: Noah's Ark - Pre Season - Seasonal Roles & Responsibilities: Work Schedule/Shifts: This position runs from April 14th, through May 22nd with the possibility of further employment Available to work Monday through Friday (some Saturdays if needed) Basic schedule is 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Job Duties & Responsibilities: Departmental Duties: Clean-up of debris (leaves, dirt, stones, branches, trash, etc.) Assists in Department preparations (F&B, Park Services, Aquatics, Admissions & Retail, and Grounds) Prepare and clean park facilities (bathrooms, food stands, lockers, tables) Help maintain park landscaping (pulling weeds, mowing, mulching, leaf blowing, watering, pruning) Distribute equipment throughout the park (trash cans, lawn chairs, tables, benches, etc.) Cleaning of pools, attractions and surge tanks Power wash facilities, including pools, walkways, slide towers Maintain compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for colleagues and guests Continuously monitors outdoor spaces for safety hazards (e.g. loose branches, tripping hazards, etc.) Perform all duties assigned by leadership Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus. Education and Experience: No education requirements for this position Previous landscaping experience preferred but not required Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Wisconsin Child Labor Laws Must have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shift Preferred possession a valid driver’s license and a good driving record Ability to safely and efficiently operate motorized vehicles and equipment Ability to comply with all uniform policies Must possess attention to detail and desire to keep park clean and presentable Must be able to safely operate a variety of hand and power landscaping tools, including lawn mowers, grass trimmers, and power washers Ability to resolve problems, issues, or concerns in a positive manner Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist, kneel, bend, or squat for long periods of time Ability to remain on feet for majority of the workday Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 50 pounds or more Ability to tolerate high-decibel noise related to power equipment Ability to rake, bend, sweep, and kneel Ability to consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/tools Ability to see details of objects that are more than a few feet away Working Conditions: This role is predominantly based outdoors Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, pollen and other weather conditions Subject to frequent repetitive motion, high noise levels, motorized equipment, power tools, and machinery Team member benefits: Team member benefits: Working at Noah’s Ark is about making people happy!
