About The Position

Founded in 2000, the firm offers the legal expertise of more than 115+ attorneys who bring decades of experience and strong problem‑solving skills. We are a vibrant, busy, and growing full‑service law firm seeking a No-Fault Litigation Paralegal to join and support our Insurance Defense Group in Brooklyn. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of paralegal experience, preferably within No-Fault or Insurance Defense litigation. This role will also provide backup support to the EBT Calendar Clerk as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience.
  • Strong client service and problem‑solving abilities; prior insurance defense or No-Fault litigation experience is a plus.
  • Proactive, anticipatory, and able to work independently.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and general legal software applications.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
  • Understanding of Commercial and Personal Lines Auto Property Damage Claims processes and regulations.
  • Understanding of basic legal and claims terminology.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • Strong client service and problem‑solving abilities; prior insurance defense or No-Fault litigation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Experience drafting legal documents, including summonses and complaints, notices of inquest, notices of discontinuance, discovery demands and responses, notices of trial, DMV record searches, and arranging process service.
  • Experience working with and supporting an EBT calendar, including serving as backup to the EBT Calendar Clerk.
  • Experience filing court documents, including electronic filing.
  • Experience tracking court dates, deadlines, and maintaining litigation calendars.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high‑volume caseload.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a polished, professional presentation.
