About The Position

The Administrative Specialist III/Testing Coordinator position provides clerical and administrative support to the Trade and Technology Department. This includes planning, prioritizing, and completing assigned tasks, as well as preparing documents and records for the Department Chair and all trade facilities. The role supports departmental functions by creating and maintaining accurate files and supervising work-study students. Additionally, the position provides customer service to students, faculty, and staff by assisting with departmental procedures and ensuring efficient daily operations. As the Testing Coordinator for the NMCC Testing Center, the incumbent coordinates and oversees day-to-day operations, develops the annual testing schedule, communicates with testing companies regarding candidate availability, and maintains documentation of all testing activities. The role also involves researching and recommending industry certifications to administer, recruiting participants, ensuring compliance with each testing company's policies and procedures, maintaining site security, and tracking test center activity and revenue.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or equivalent.
  • 3 years' experience in administrative/office work.
  • Experience with scheduling services while adhering to multiple platform regulations.
  • Certified Testing Proctor preferred.
  • Expected to become Certified within 45 days of hire.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Ability to multitask.
