The NMAC System Administrator supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will: Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware, software, peripheral, and networking problems in stressful situations. Explain technical concepts to inexperienced users. Optimize, fine-tune, and monitor operating system software and hardware. Install and configure software and hardware. Create Incident Reports on system issues and performing system data collection. Perform and provide server, workstation, and application expertise to government, civilian and contractor users. Provide support to other work centers and test community. Travel to off-site location with the supported community user. Escort and provide support to engineers and maintenance personnel. Coordinate with other Mission Assurance Centers. Order replacement of new hardware and software including warranty claims. Other duties as assigned. Shift work is required to support 24×7 operations. It is important to be available to work any shift/designated hours required including nights, weekends, and holidays on a modified Panama schedule, and can remain on-site for extended periods during emergencies and drills.
