About The Position

The NMAC System Administrator supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will: Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware, software, peripheral, and networking problems in stressful situations. Explain technical concepts to inexperienced users. Optimize, fine-tune, and monitor operating system software and hardware. Install and configure software and hardware. Create Incident Reports on system issues and performing system data collection. Perform and provide server, workstation, and application expertise to government, civilian and contractor users. Provide support to other work centers and test community. Travel to off-site location with the supported community user. Escort and provide support to engineers and maintenance personnel. Coordinate with other Mission Assurance Centers. Order replacement of new hardware and software including warranty claims. Other duties as assigned. Shift work is required to support 24×7 operations. It is important to be available to work any shift/designated hours required including nights, weekends, and holidays on a modified Panama schedule, and can remain on-site for extended periods during emergencies and drills. This position will be filled and work onsite at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Resumes, in month and year format, must be submitted with application in order to be considered for the position. The selected candidate may be assigned as one of our teammate companies.

Requirements

  • Must have a Top Secret with SCI Eligibility
  • Current DoD IAT Level II or higher (Sec+)
  • 4 years or more of general work experience
  • 1.5 years or more of direct work experience
  • Working knowledge and system administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments; Microsoft Windows operating systems (OS) administration and associated hardware; VMWare and system visualization; and Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies
  • Red-hat or Linux experience/knowledge
  • Understanding of virtual machine and Remote Desktop
  • Windows System Administration experience or Background with SPADOC or space situational analysis/space orbital

  • Cyber and Space Operations experience
  • Basic understanding of network topologies and protocols
  • Remedy trouble ticket experience
