About The Position

This position is designed for a student contractor to provide technical and analytical support in the fields of Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering. The role focuses on developing software and computer-based solutions for testing and evaluating emerging RF systems, including modifying existing source code and operating applications under development. The contractor will work in a semi-lab environment to troubleshoot and evaluate RF systems.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate student at the Senior level with relevant coursework in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience in 100% of the task requirements and ability to accomplish 90% of the work independently.
  • Coursework in differential equations, calculus (1, 2, & 3), and programming courses.
  • Familiarity with basic RF and E&M principles.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Software Defined Radios.
  • Experience with RF systems.
  • Programming experience in Python, Java, C#, C++, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with GIT and version control.
  • Ability to read and implement technical documents or test standards.
  • Knowledge in Docker/containers.
  • Experience in deploying software.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with design, development, and sustainment of source code associated with open source applications used in RF systems.
  • Develop and deploy applications and scripts associated with RF systems under test.
  • Assist in the assembly and troubleshooting of test systems.
  • Interpret RF signals and conduct quality analysis.
