About The Position

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Computer Operator III to support the Tactical Combat Training System (TCTS) at our Beaufort, NC location. This advanced-level role is responsible for operating and maintaining mission-critical computer systems and peripheral equipment to support live and post-mission aircrew training. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 3 years of related experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years related experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating and maintaining computer systems in a DoD or mission-critical environment.
  • Proficiency with mission planning tools, data entry systems, and radio frequency management.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure during live operations.
  • Familiarity with systems such as MLU, JDS, RIMS, DRDs, and IEMS.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with aircrew, RTOs, and mission coordinators.
  • SECRET security clearance required.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours based on mission schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain TCTS computers and peripheral systems to support live training missions.
  • Enter flight data into the Mission Line Up (MLU) and verify accuracy with squadron personnel and mission coordinators.
  • Monitor live missions and immediately report malfunctions or system stoppages to the supervisor.
  • Assist Range Training Officers (RTOs) and Controllers with Joint Display System (JDS) and communications equipment setup and operation.
  • Input, monitor, and adjust radio frequencies as required during mission execution.
  • Archive mission data and prepare systems for subsequent flight operations.
  • Start and stop mission recordings; set up debrief rooms and assist with mission replays.
  • Program Data Recording Devices (DRDs) and ensure proper configuration for each mission.
  • Enter mission data into the Range Information Management System (RIMS).
  • Document all maintenance actions in the Integrated Enterprise Management System (IEMS).
  • Cross-train and qualify on multiple TCTS systems to support operational flexibility.
  • Achieve operational qualification within 6 months and maintenance qualification within 1 year of hire.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
