About The Position

The Night Shift Order Selector is responsible for selecting products in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring accurate placement on pallets and preparing items for shipping. This physically demanding role requires operating heavy equipment and working in varying temperature zones, contributing to the team's mission of delivering fine foods since 1942.

Requirements

• Experience in a highly physical, labor-intensive position (e.g., construction, distribution warehouse, equipment/machine operator, farmhand, freight handler).
• Ability to work in varying temperature zones, from freezer temperatures to non-air conditioned temperatures in summer.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, including materials/tools and work instructions.
• Strong team player with good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and produce quality work.
• Strong service orientation.
• Availability to work a full-time schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED
• Foodservice or warehouse distribution experience
• Experience operating equipment such as a pallet jack or powered industrial truck.

Responsibilities

• Manually transfer cased product from pick slots to pallets and affix labels.
• Secure products on pallets and build according to prescribed procedures.
• Pay close attention to detail while performing job duties, including reading labels and palletizing.
• Meet selection and accuracy standards.
• Safely operate all warehouse equipment and obey safety rules.
• Read alpha and numeric codes from pick sheets and slots.
• Work in multi-temperature areas as assigned.
• Produce quality work output consistently.
• Perform other projects or duties as assigned.
