About The Position

Warehouse Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operators are vital to the success of our business at P&G. As a technician, you will work on a team that is responsible for keeping Site throughput flowing, meeting performance goals and maintaining the high level of quality that consumers expect from our products. Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operators are responsible for enabling flow across the Site, strategically moving inventory within the fulfillment center, replenishing automation systems and ensuring handled product meets P&G’s Quality expectations. As a forklift operator you might be responsible for delivering materials to or removing materials from Making, Packing, Converting or Assembly operating areas. Responsible for delivering and removing finished product from a Packing area to other areas in the Warehouse. Can receive orders required to load product on a truck for customer or distribution center shipment. Responsible for moving material to a staging area for further palletization or customization and from our manual picks stations which include individual cases or layers of finished product. Responsible for maintaining accurate Finished Product Inventory in a Warehouse. Responsible for material that has been shipped to a customer and then returned to P&G. Acts as a System Owner or Equipment Owner for the area in which they operate. Operates and maintains the equipment in their area. Orders and schedules trucks, international shipment containers and rail car deliveries to and from the plant. Being present and prompt for work, every shift, is the key to being a 5-star employee at the Northeast Fulfillment Center. To be successful in this role, individuals must seek out opportunities to learn multiple functions within their department and support their shift team by flowing to various tasks throughout the day. We hire you at entry level and you advance by demonstrating growing levels of operating, maintenance, and leadership skills. All newly hired employees have a 6 month probationary period to demonstrate these competencies. Once you have successfully completed this period, we have the opportunity to expand into other areas in the warehouse, like electrical, quality assurance, safety and hygiene, and other areas of expertise. Meaningful work on Day 1. We do various types of work, including running high-speed converting and packing equipment, controlling the process from a computer terminal, and performing preventive maintenance on equipment. From the beginning, you will be getting involved, impacting situations, and influencing business-related problems.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Have a minimum of a High School Diploma, or GED.
  • Lift 50 pounds by bending and stooping; climb, stand, and move around on stairs, ladders and platforms; twist, turn and bend.
  • Sit/stand on material handling equipment for extended periods of time.
  • Able to wear required safety personal protective equipment (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes).
