Night Yard / Dock Associate
About The Position
Overnight Shift Night Yard / Dock Associate (Full-Time) Location: Brewster, NY Pay: $20 - $22/hour Shift: Sunday – Thursday // 8:00pm – 5:30am What You'll Do Coordinate Night Loading: Act as the primary communicator between warehouse staff and night yard personnel to manage truck door assignments and loading/departure status. Ensure Safety & Compliance: Securely close truck doors following proper safety protocols and conduct visual inspections to ensure safe departure; report any safety or equipment issues. Maintain Records: Accurately log truck arrivals, departures, and door assignments throughout the night shift. Collaborate for Efficiency: Work proactively with both teams to minimize loading times and resolve potential delays in a fast-paced environment. Support Food Safety: Assist with quality control procedures, maintain a sanitary work environment, and notify management of any food safety concerns.
Requirements
- Communication Skills: Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly and concisely in English; excellent interpersonal skills required.
- Experience: Prior experience in warehouse operations, yard, dock operations, or a related field is beneficial; strong understanding of safe food handling practices.
- Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, basic math skills, and must be at least 18 years of age.
- Work Ethic: Able to work the assigned night shift schedule (hours may vary) at a constant, rapid pace; adhere to all safety and company policies.
