Night Warehouse Shipping Supervisor
About The Position
Looking for an experienced Night Warehouse Manager with strong supervision, surveillance and multi-tasking skills to manage a fast paced 2nd shift warehouse environment. Duties and Responsibilities: Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Lead through FDA, Food Safety Modernization Act, USDA, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Bio-Terrorism processes/audits /inspections. Ensure that all warehouse sanitation, safety and security activities are consistently performed within OSHA and other government compliance, and industry standards. Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met. Train staff and monitor their performance and progress Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders, consumption reports and demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and to issue work assignments. Control of overages/shortages ensuring proper product is picked, pulled & loaded for customers Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system. Must be able to lift to 75 lbs. (and occasionally in excess of 75 lbs.) Additional job duties/responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of applicable regulations: FMCSA, DOT, OSHA & Safety Compliance.
- 3+ years experience working in Food Distribution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of shipping logistics and time management skills, personal service and production and processing.
