About The Position

The Night Warehouse Manager is responsible for the management, training, and team building of warehouse personnel. To perform this function within the established policies and guidelines of our company, as well as to ensure that all short and long-term objectives are met. Most importantly this individual needs to be a strong leader, be able to motivate others and hold their team accountable for maximum productivity in a positive and clean work environment. In addition, the incumbent must be able to work under pressure and with minimal supervision and be able to recruit, train, lead, develop and motivate a team to produce positive results. S/he must possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal), excellent interpersonal skills for decision-making, problem-solving and delegation, a drive for being results-oriented with a customer service and safety focus. Must have the flexibility to work variable schedules.

Requirements

  • 5 years of management and leadership experience in a distribution setting
  • Demonstrated success leading and motivating teams with the ability to develop and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals, and respond to day-to-day facility needs
  • Budget planning and control experience
  • Ability to simultaneously perform multiple tasks
  • The ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments, and direct the workforce
  • Intermediate PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in staffing, and coordinating the workloads
  • Have the ability to route next day trucks for the Brewster territory.
  • Identifies associate, customer, and supplier concerns by listening and consulting with others when needed to determine corrective action to take or make recommendations to resolve concerns
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness to avoid contamination of products entering and leaving the facility
  • Do a physical inventory bi-monthly, which include inventory shrinkage, inventory turns and fill rate percent, to maintain accurate records of finished goods inventory.
  • Working knowledge of all systems and product handling automation through collaboration with VP of operations
  • Provides and supports the implementation of solutions by building relationships; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities
