We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and experienced Janitorial Supervisor to lead our custodial team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, and hands-on experience with floor care (including terrazzo, ESD, and other specialty surfaces). Requirements

Prior experience in janitorial supervision or team leadership in a custodial/facilities setting
Proficient in floor care techniques, including terrazzo, ESD flooring, and other specialty surfaces
Understanding of payroll processes and timekeeping systems
Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety data sheets (SDS)
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices
Flexible availability, including evening and weekend shifts as needed

Responsibilities

Supervise daily operations of janitorial staff to ensure all cleaning duties are completed effectively and efficiently
Oversee and coordinate nightly service requests, ensuring all work orders and special tasks are completed and documented properly
Process and submit janitorial staff payroll accurately and on time, including reviewing timesheets and attendance
Develop and implement detailed cleaning schedules and procedures for all areas of the facility
Train team members on proper cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols
Maintain adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; place timely orders to avoid shortages
Conduct routine inspections to ensure all areas meet cleanliness and safety standards
Respond promptly to maintenance or cleaning issues and ensure timely resolution
Maintain open communication with facility managers and provide regular updates on operations
Ensure compliance with OSHA, health, and safety standards as well as company policies
Promote a positive, professional, and respectful work environment among janitorial staff
Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive coaching and feedback
Assist with recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new janitorial staff
Collaborate with other departments for special project coordination and event setup/cleanup
Keep accurate records of cleaning schedules, supply usage, payroll, attendance, and nightly service request logs
Continually assess and improve cleaning procedures for increased efficiency and quality
Lead by example with a strong work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to service excellence
