Job Description: Night Shift Hours: 7pm-6am M-TH ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for leading daily operations of Night Shift team members Responsible for technical direction and support for night shift Ability to lead, guide, and mentor new hires and training · Must possess the ability to read blueprints. · Must be knowledgeable of specific department techniques and obtain the ability to inspect the quality of those techniques. · Must oversee all production practices. · Material handling: receive, check-in and stock/put away raw materials. · Inventory Maintenance: issue material, cycle count and manage obsolete material. · Use suction hoist and lift bridge to insert and remove material. · Organize parts for the next process. · Handles parts with care to avoid cosmetic and physical damage. · Operation of various hand-operated tools related to steel fabrication. · Perform routine maintenance on machines. · Operate other machine equipment. · Oversee the compliance of QC program in all products manufactured. · Actively participate in team meetings to communicate and help resolve any cost, quality, or production issues; understand and apply engineering change request process · Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures · Maintain equipment and work area in a clean, orderly, and safe condition. · Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS · 3 year of production experience · 2 years in a supervisor/lead position · Detail oriented · Must possess good math skills including but not limited to adding, subtracting, and fractions. · Read drawings with welding symbols. · Ability to troubleshoot systems when needed. · Use tape measures, rulers, protractors, and combination squares. · Oversee fabrication and installation of fixtures and jigs required for welding. · Perform heavy lifting (75 lbs) frequent stooping or bending. · Ability to comply with all work-related deadlines and work overtime when required. · Must be able to work in a team environment. · Strong verbal and written interpersonal/communication skills required · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail · Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities · Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment WORK ENVIRONMENT · Works in a plant/manufacturing environment that involves the use of industrial machinery and chemicals. Employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at the location. COMPENSATION The approximate pay range for this position is $29-32 plus additional $2/hr for working night shift.
