About The Position

This position is for a full-time or part-time role located in the OKC Metro area of Oklahoma City, OK. The job primarily involves working the graveyard shift and includes various responsibilities related to general management, bookkeeping, personnel management, security, merchandising, and maintenance. Requirements

• Be available to work all scheduled hours
• Be able to converse and understand the English language at the eighth-grade level
• Be able to perform arithmetic calculations at the eighth-grade level
• Have sufficient visual acuity to check identification and process money orders
• Be able to read and understand instructions for operating electronic cash registers
• Be able to move up to 55 pounds
• Be able to stock shelves and cooler
• Be able to react to a fire by moving and using a fire extinguisher weighing 20 pounds
• Be able to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products
• Be able to ascend/descend a ladder to clean windows
• Be able to clean the parking lot and grounds surrounding the convenience store
• Be able to enter and work in a cooler at a temperature of 34 degrees
• Be able to enter and work in a freezer at a temperature of -20 degrees
• Be able to bag ice
• Be able to detect and identify objects or people up to 40 yards from the register area
• Be able to operate store equipment such as cash registers and computers
• Be able to remain in a stationary position for up to a full nine-hour shift
• Be able to bend, stoop, push and pull in stocking and merchandising

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all Company policies
• Follows the work schedule as posted unless a change in schedule is arranged with the Store Manager
• Gives all customers prompt and courteous service
• Observes shift operating hours at all times, as assigned by the Store Manager
• Assists the Store Manager in maintaining a store-inspection grade of at least 90%
• Ensures the Store Manager is aware of all sales, cash, or operating discrepancies
• Operates shift within Company guidelines to achieve sales and profit
• Performs specific tasks as assigned by the Store Manager
• Adheres to all city, county, state, and federal Alcoholic Beverage Sales regulations
• Adheres to all city, county, state, and federal tobacco regulations
• Completes all assigned training
• Prepares a shift-change report at the completion of shift
• Clocks in and out at the time clock, and signs verifying all hours worked
• Notifies the Store Manager of any discrepancies in the operating results
• Rings all sales as discussed in the Policy Manual
• Accurately posts markups and markdowns, store use of merchandise, voids, and bad merchandise write-offs
• Advises the Store Manager of any personnel situations or policy violations
• Shares responsibility for controlling inventory
• Follows Company policy regarding cash security
• Completes shift-change report at the end of shift
• Keeps coolers, drink boxes, store shelves, and displays fully stocked and fronted
• Cleans and maintains equipment
• Checks refrigeration equipment for proper performance
• Cleans windows, floors, shelving, counters, and gas pumps
• Checks bathrooms for cleanliness every hour
• Posts signs on out-of-order equipment and hazardous conditions
• Immediately advises the Store Manager of any maintenance problems
