What this job involves: Join our dynamic facilities team where you'll be the backbone of our operations, ensuring world-class building performance through expert maintenance and repair of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems. This impactful role offers diverse challenges from strategic preventative maintenance to critical emergency response, while managing vendor relationships and inventory systems that keep our facilities running seamlessly and safely. Your day-to-day tasks will include: Master diverse building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, BAS, fire life safety, and lighting through hands-on maintenance, monitoring, and repairs Lead preventative maintenance initiatives by cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and replacing critical equipment components Serve as first responder to facility emergencies and service requests, making an immediate difference Execute electrical and mechanical repairs including lighting systems, ballasts, fixtures, motors, pumps, and plumbing infrastructure Drive operational excellence through detailed maintenance reporting, precise record-keeping, and strategic equipment inventory management Partner with vendors to optimize quality, pricing, and service delivery across facility operations Monitor system performance through equipment readings and proactive adjustments to maximize efficiency Ensure accuracy in parts procurement and maintain comprehensive tool and instrument inventories Champion safety excellence through proper hazardous materials storage, usage, and disposal protocols

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent with two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC
  • Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC's (or obtain within 90 days of employment)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
  • Ability to analyze system operations, diagnose problems, and implement corrective actions
