Night Shift Lead
About The Position
Night Shift Lead / Forklift Driver Challenger Pallet Challenger Pallet is looking for a dependable Night Shift Lead / Forklift Driver to oversee a small crew operating a pallet nailing machine and performing other production tasks. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys working independently, keeping production on track, and leading by example. Position Overview The Night Shift Lead works with a small team to safely and efficiently produce pallets during evening operations. This role includes operating a forklift, supporting the nailing machine, and serving as the primary point of responsibility on shift. Schedule Night shift 3:30 - 8:00 PM Part-time (potentially becoming Full-Time as demand grows)
Requirements
- Forklift experience required (certification preferred)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
- Able to lift, stack, and work in a physical production environment
Nice To Haves
- Prior manufacturing, pallet, or lumber industry experience strongly preferred
- Leadership or lead experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a small production crew on night shift
- Operate a forklift to move materials and finished pallets
- Assist with and monitor pallet nailing machine operations
- Ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety procedures are met
- Perform basic troubleshooting and communicate issues to management
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Oversee all operations during the evening shift
- Report to Plant Manager daily.
