About The Position

Sand Valley is a golf resort and community settled gently upon 12,000 acres of rugged, pre-historic sand dunes in central Wisconsin. Here, residents and guests will find six world-class golf courses built in harmony with the land: Sand Valley, Mammoth Dunes, Sandbox, The Lido, Sedge Valley, and Commons. Position Summary At Sand Valley, our Security team plays an important role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for guests and team members. From assisting with guest needs and ensuring public areas remain secure to stocking firewood and responding to emergencies, this role offers a meaningful blend of service and safety.

Requirements

Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or corrections preferred
A calm, professional presence, especially in high-pressure situations
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

Patrol resort facilities, guest accommodations, and grounds to ensure a safe and peaceful environment
Maintain a visible presence in guest areas to promote safety and deter incidents
Respond promptly to alarms or emergencies
Conduct routine inspections and report any safety concerns or maintenance issues
Assist guests and team members with directions, transportation, or general support
Drive the resort shuttle after 10 PM for guest transportation
Keep firepits and wood boxes stocked, lit, and guest-ready
Complete detailed incident and daily activity reports; support HR with documentation as needed
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders during incidents
Organize and stack firewood in the designated woodshed
Manage difficult or sensitive situations effectively
Perform other duties as assigned
