About The Position

The primary purpose of the Night Nurse Manager is to administratively and clinically supervise the clinical operations for the Walter B. Jones Center (WBJ) under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer. This position is delegated with significant managerial or programmatic responsibility that is essential to the successful operation of WBJ. The Night Nurse Manager has the responsibility of managing, supervising, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating evening services provided by WBJ Center in order to assure the quality of care delivered throughout the hospital. This position also serves as the Triage Nurse.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of management and supervisory methods, practices and procedures.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and supervise the work of healthcare staff.
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, techniques, and practices.
  • Ability to actively seek to coach and mentor staff.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina and two years of nursing experience.
