The primary function of this night-time intensivist position working for the Hospitalist Service is to provide comprehensive care to Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) patients in collaboration with the internal medicine house staff, ICU based hospitalists, and the director and operations manager of the Hospitalist Service and the director of the MICU. Due to the size and complexity of the MICU there is a need for supervision of the house staff, hospitalists as well as direct patient care. Exemplifies behaviors reflecting Service Excellence and support of the Strategic Dimensions by modeling the Core Success Factors as described in the Performance Review.
