About The Position

The Night Forklift Operator is responsible for efficiently moving products within the warehouse, ensuring safety and productivity while adhering to company standards. This role involves operating a forklift, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean work environment to support the distribution of a wide range of products to various retailers.

Requirements

• Understanding of safety guidelines.
• Strong knowledge of applicable Bakco functions and RF systems.
• Warehouse/Operations experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions and deal with standardized situations.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of two-digit numbers.

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the shipping office at the beginning of each shift for daily assignments and vehicle inspection.
• Inspects assigned lift and completes vehicle inspection sheet.
• Replenishes pick slots using the view request screen and manual replenish screen as needed.
• Performs knockdowns for selectors when required.
• Maintains correct counts and logs any discrepancies in inventory.
• Verifies that the correct product is being put in the appropriate pick location.
• Cuts and removes shrink wrap from all knockdowns.
• Removes all empty pallets from pick locations and aisles.
• Separates good, bad, and blue pallets and stages them neatly in the pallet staging area.
• Keeps the work area clean and free of debris.
• Operates the lift in a safe and efficient manner.
• Parks and recharges the lift in its appropriate spot at the end of the shift.
• Informs a lead, supervisor, or manager of any potential safety violations or company policy violations.
• Performs duties in accordance with HACCP and SQF policies and procedures.
