Night Forklift Operator Associate

Join Loffredo Fresh Foods as a Full Time Nights Warehouse 2 Associate based out of our Des Moines Branch. We are a local, family-owned food and produce distributor that has proudly served the Midwest region for over 130 years. We distribute to 11 different states across our 6 locations. The Warehouse 2 Associate, is responsible for safely and efficiently moving, loading, and unloading pallets of fresh produce and other goods within the warehouse. This role involves operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to organize and stage products for shipment, replenish inventory in designated storage areas. Forklift operators must follow all safety procedures, maintain equipment in good working condition, and work closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate product flow. Attention to detail, adherence to company quality standards, and maintaining a clean and organized work area are essential to help maintain the high standards of service our customers expect.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse and forklift experience required
- Able to work in a refrigerated environment for 8+ hours
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 75+ lbs. occasionally
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to take direction from all levels of management
- Ability to work independently within a team setting
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English for the automated headset
Responsibilities
- Safely operation warehouse equipment at all times and follow all safety guidelines
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move, load, and unload pallets of fresh produce and goods
- Transport products to designated storage areas or staging zones for shipping
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- All other assigned duties
