Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in specialty or related field.
  • Experience in the transportation industry is a plus.
  • AS400 experience preferred.
  • Intermediate interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Intermediate computer skills required, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem solving and innovative thinking skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regulations impacting daily operations (DOT).
  • Basic knowledge of U.S. geography and calculation of transit times.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily performance of drivers to ensure compliance with TTMS policy and DOT regulations.
  • Manage driver capacity availability and maintain seated truck count.
  • Approve driver's home time requests and liaise with Load Planning.
  • Contact new drivers to discuss needs and expectations.
  • Establish and monitor company performance objectives with drivers.
  • Document issues that may lead to disciplinary action or termination.
  • Ensure driver compliance with company policies and maintenance BPM.
  • Provide instructions to drivers on load pick-up and delivery.
  • Promote safe operations and monitor driver participation in safety training.
  • Maximize revenue per tractor through appropriate equipment utilization.
  • Advise drivers on routing during adverse weather or health issues.
  • Input load and driver related information accurately into the system.
