Requirements
- 1+ years’ experience specifically with domestic freight brokerage preferred
- Excellent communication skills with both team members and customers.
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation management software.
Responsibilities
- Route Planning: Develop and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods.
- Communication: Maintain constant communication with drivers to provide updates, address issues, and ensure compliance with schedules.
- Problem Resolution: Quickly and effectively address any challenges that may arise during transportation, such as delays, detours, or mechanical issues.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of shipments, including delivery times, delays, and any incidents that may occur.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including logistics, maintenance, and customer service, to streamline operations.
- Provide timely and accurate communication to customers and carriers regarding shipment status, delays, and issues.
- Compliance: Ensure that all transportation activities comply with Local, State, and Federal regulations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
