About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to follow routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building operations and grounds. The role involves various cleaning tasks and responsibilities to ensure that the facilities are well-maintained and safe for use.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment.
• Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies.
• Ability to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a cleaning schedule that will include cleaning of floors, chalkboards, wastebaskets, windows, furniture, equipment, restrooms, etc.
• Follow established procedures for locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities.
• Assist in maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and request additional supplies as needed.
• Report major repair needs to supervisor.
• Inspect machines and equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc.
• Report immediately any unusual happenings in the building.
• Ability to work multiple campuses.
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions as designed by District staff.
• Regular and consistent attendance.
• All other duties as assigned.

Benefits

• Full time employees should take two fifteen minute breaks and a thirty minute lunch at scheduled times.
