The Night Crew Manager is responsible for overseeing overnight store operations, including freight processing, stocking, merchandising, and store readiness for the next business day. This role ensures efficient execution, inventory accuracy, safety compliance, and associate development while maintaining store standards and supporting overall operational goals. Pay Transparency: Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Dependent on length of service, hours worked, any applicable collective bargaining agreement and/or Company policy, benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay, paid holidays, bereavement pay and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401(k) eligibility). Associates in this position may be eligible for a quarterly bonus, subject to Company bonus plans. Applications are accepted on an on-going basis. For roles in Washington State: Sick pay and PTO/Vacation pay are accrued based on hours worked and paid holidays are issued at 7-9 days annually.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time‑management skills.
  • Knowledge of overnight stocking operations, freight flow, and merchandising standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, overnight environment.
  • Basic proficiency with retail systems, handheld devices, and inventory tools.
  • Ability to motivate teams and drive productivity and accountability.
  • Ability to work overnight shifts consistently.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to operate material‑handling equipment as required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous retail leadership, overnight, or stocking management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, train, and develop Night Crew associates.
  • Assign and prioritize overnight work to ensure timely completion of freight, conditioning, and merchandising tasks.
  • Schedule overnight labor effectively to meet workload and productivity expectations.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback and promote accountability, teamwork, and engagement.
  • Oversee receiving, unloading, stocking, and rotation of all overnight freight.
  • Ensure shelves, endcaps, displays, and backroom areas are fully stocked and organized.
  • Execute planograms, resets, and seasonal transitions during overnight hours.
  • Ensure store readiness standards are met prior to store opening.
  • Maintain accurate inventory flow through correct stocking and backstock procedures.
  • Monitor damages, out‑of‑stocks, and discrepancies, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Support shrink reduction initiatives and inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety standards, overnight work procedures, and equipment usage.
  • Promote a clean, hazard‑free work environment and compliance with all safety policies.
  • Ensure proper use of material‑handling equipment, pallet jacks, and power equipment if applicable.
  • Partner with store leadership to support total store operations.
  • Communicate overnight progress, issues, and priorities to daytime leadership.
  • Assist with special projects, inventory events, and store initiatives as needed.
